HUTECH Students Join the Public Restroom Design Contest

Observing the needs of both local and foreign people when visiting Ho Chi Minh City as well as achieving a better downtown look, the contest “Public Restroom Design” held by the People Committee of district 1 has been securing attention from a huge community including architectures, interior designers as well as architect students who currently works and studies in Vietnam. There have been 3 topics to be announced, Table A - In the park, Table B - Pavement near Streets Intersection, and Table C - Street Pavement.

HUTECH Group with 2 members from the Architecture and Arts Department,Pham Minh Hai and Hoang Phuong from class 11DNT06, is one of the only two undergraduate contestants from two famous universities [the other is Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture] to join the other 13 talented competitions entering the finale. All the submissions chosen are required to possess aesthetics, applicability and creativity as well as apply the latest scientific technology.

This fabulous attainment results from the undeniable effort of HUTECH students who have given their own to beat other experienced rivals from domestic companies and join the final round on December 30, 2015. The students are giving a presentation about their design to the examiners.

All the submissions are being displayed at the Youth Culture Center until December 28, 2014. (No.4 Pham Ngoc Thach St., Ben Nghe W., Dist. 1). In addition, votes are gathered until end of December 28 and evaluated by the examiners in the final round. Therefore, the contribution is vital to determine the winner of competition. People are looking forward to the final show when HUTECH students and other talents are going to show off the dreams of a green and modern city. Who will be the winner? Let’s see!
